These are 7th generation Black Magic dogs. They all produce classic, old-fashioned GSD puppies.

Black Magic's Bacchus of Salhaus

He has an excellent temperament and is VERY handsome! OFA good. OFA clear elbows. He has produced incredible pups for us, including several service and SAR dogs. AKC registered DM clear

Miriam is the epitome of the classic, old-fashioned German Shepherd. She had some fabulous pups for us and is now retired. She is the dam of Luke aka Captain Morgan, and Guinness.

Gracie's the babysitter here at Black Magic, and she's the best working dog we've ever had. SO easy to train! She loves to be asked to do anything at all. Super smart! Her sire is one of the biggest GSDs we've seen in years; he's extremely athletic and has ofa good hips. Her mom, Pony, is huge,super sweet, and a fabulous producer. So Gracie has it all! She's extremely intelligent, loves to please, and is affectionate and faithful. Love our Gracie! OFA excellent hips.

Gracie had her one litter and is retired now but her daughter Lola carries on her legacy. Gracie lives in CA with her son Lucca and Tobin James. They are our breed representatives. DM and RD clear. Tested for 170 genetic conditions with Embark, 100% clear.

Black Magic's Joshua

"Shua" is Mija's brother. He is a big, tall, classic GSD who has that "police dog look". He loves his kids and the toddlers love to nap on him. Shua is naturally protective and takes care of his family. He has produced terrific pups with every girl we have bred him to. Great hips! He is a PTSD service dog and has produced several service dogs. If you are looking for a family dog, a service or therapy dog, or just a faithful companion, this dog produces himself. DM clear. OFA good.

Mija is a real favorite at Black Magic. She has a great sense of humor. (like Ishah!) On the right, she's the one in front. She loves Guinness and Gracie... she's just a social girl! She has a great personality; she is very soft and extremely playful. She's a sweet dog who can amuse herself all day long, but she loves to play with her aunt Gracie! She's from Gracie's sister Journey, and Diesel son Midas, from Salhaus. Both have excellent hips. Mija was 105 lbs at 1 year. She is penn hipped at 80th percentile and in the 20s, perfect!

She is also OFA prelimned good. She lives with Jamison. Just retired!

Black Magic's Jamison VF

Jamison is our wonderful family dog. He is a gorgeous deep red and black, very traditional. A great ball dog who LOVES his sticks. He is so sweet with the toddlers; a very kind dog, and a great guard dog. Quiet and calm in the house. He produces some gorgeous classic and exotic color pups.. He has perfect hips (penn hip 90%) and is RD clear.

He loves to swim!

Gracie and Bacchus produced a fabulous litter, and we kept Lola (Love Potion) to carry on our lines. With Gracie's OFA excellent hips, and Bacchus' history of making incredibly good dogs, their pups are very special. Lola is big, smart and beautiful! She has a gorgeous, luxurious coat.

She has her CGC certificate.

Gus is a very special boy out of Mija and Jamison. Both of his parents are black and tan, so he is a good solid white without too many recessive genes. He has a great temperament; loves people and loves to play. He is very good with children, like his parents. Gus is over 100 lbs, tall, and is

OFA EXCELLENT. OFA clear elbows. Still growing! RD clear, DM normal. 100% clear on 160 DNA tests for genetic problems thru Embark. He produces incredible noses and is doing nose work classes. Everyone with a Gus pup is crazy about them!

Moonshine is a very special girl, sired by the fabulous Bacchus. She is mellow and so loving... absolutely terrific with the kids. She passes her calm nature onto her pups. Good hips; penn hip taken at age 4 shows no evidence of DJD even after two litters! She has such a good temperament and is just an all-around wonderful dog. She throws mostly short coats. A headhunter's dream; she has that big broad Bacchus head! Sweet but still a great guardian. Mata's dam.

Karma is a terrific girl who loves her kids and takes care of the family. She is a substantial dog who always produced huge males and females with great temperament. Good hips, We will see her lines again this year with a new pup who is a grand puppy! Watch for

Zoi is a beautiful Moonshine/ Joshua daughter. She is a sweet, faithful girl who loves to play ball.

She's kind and easy going. Zoi has our trademark flat back, good health and great temperament. Penn hipped average.

Black Magic's Mata Hari. Zoi at 3 years old is 94 lbs. Just retired.

Legacy, AKA Lizzy is a wonderful girl. She is extremely mellow. Lizzy is awe inspiring - She is big and TALL, but no one is a stranger for long with Lizzy! She is a big favorite at the vet's office. Great choice for a service dog. Amazing pups, tall and BIG. Lizzy is OFA GOOD.

Lizzy is 123 pounds at 4 years old. She is very athletic.

Altho Lizzy is a very quiet, calm girl, her sire Titan from Von Ward has a lot of working dogs in his pedigree, so Lizzy pups can do just about anything! Our girl MaCherie is a Lizzy pup and you could not ask for a nicer dog. Clear Embark. Everyone LOVES their Lizzy puppies! ZARA is a Lizzy daughter.

Royal has completed all his testing. He is OFA good, Embark clear for 230 plus genetic conditions. His temperament is flawless - everyone loves him! Super sweet. Of course he has that great old-fashioned GSD conformation, with flat back, deep chest and good movement. He is tall! Royal is the son of Lola and Argus. His pedigree has 2 OFA excellent dogs in 3 generations! Royal's pup are big, sweet, bright and want to please.

Mata is one of our three Moonshine daughters. She is an identical twin to Curacao, and Zoi is her sister from an earlier litter. All three have fantastic temperaments, are very maternal, great with people, and are robustly healthy.

Mata lives with her family in Arkansas and is retired now.

Mata did a great job raising litters while still doing her service dog work. She has passed on her great attributes to her daughter Muz, who is also a service dog. This line of females has excelled in every. way and we are very proud of them.

Muz is a super lovable girl who is best friends with Fireball. She loves her sticks and playing fetch. Happy to hike or snuggle. She is a gorgeous deep red who has beautiful puppies.

She has classic short coat black and tans but throws in a few plush blues. Her dam Mata always has stunning pups in all colors. Grandma Moonshine did too! Muz is a service dog and has the most amazing temperament. OFA good, Embark clear.

We're thrilled to have Zara in our Black Magic family of excellent dogs. She is a Lizzy daughter, and has all the attributes of her dam and her sire Crown Royal. She is an affectionate, kind dog who loves her bestie Zoi. She loves to play and has a wonderful attitude.

Like all of our dogs, she is low drive, loyal, and has classic conformation.

Zara is OFA good and Embark clear.

She is a big girl who has huge pups.

Fireball is a wonderful, kind and empathetic service dog for our partner Michael.

She is a special girl with a big heart who mothers kittens and baby goats and anyone else who needs it. She has great Penn hip scores, 27/35, and is Embark clear. She was 108 lbs at 3.

Echo is a wonderful stud dog. He is the fabulous son of Jamison and Conundrum, with solid hip and health history. Awesome penn hip score of 28/32 at two years old. He's still growing, will mature about 120 lbs. Echo is a fun dog like his sire, he loves to play with the girls and is sweet with them. He adores his human girl Raven and is her constant companion. He looks fierce but has a soft heart of gold and a sense of humor. Embark clear.

Every breeder has to outcross at some point to avoid inbreeding. We give this very serious consideration. The dog we have used with Zara is Big Rig grandson Royalaire's Gabriel. He has a fabulous temperament, great hip scores, and is Embark clear. He is extremely athletic even tho he is a big boy. We have a gorgeous son of Zara and a Big Rig grandson (Gabriel) - Black Magic's Rolling Thunder aka Cole.

Zara is scheduled to be bred again summer 2026.

Black Magic's Rolling Thunder aka Cole

He is our up and coming stud dog, son of Zara and Gabriel. You will not find a better dog- he has a perfect neutral temperament and is good with all animals and people. This is Cole at 10 months old, he is huge!! Like a baby elephant. :) Easy to train and intensely loyal. He is clear by parentage but we will still do all his testing this summer. Planning

to breed him to Josie Daniels for some really incredible pups in 2027.

Josie is a Muz/ Echo daughter. She's a gorgeous plush coat with a wonderful temperament. She lives on a farm and is a service dog. Her pups are going to be fantastic! She has good penn hip scores and has been Embarked. 4 generations of Black Magic dogs in this girl!
